This antibody is specific for coat proteins from the M13 phage. Plays essential roles both in the penetration of the viral genome into the bacterial host via pilus retraction and in the extrusion process.

The mouse version of this antibody has shown use in ELISA. Further, western blot can also be preformed with the mouse version of this antibody. Staining of M13 phage coat proteins can also be preformed using the mouse version of this antibody. Finally the mouse version of this antibody can stain M13 phage coat proteins for flow cytometry.
