The original antibody was used for an ELISA on intact papillomavirus and virus like particles contained L1 protein of different papillomavirus genotypes, and on L1 protein (Guan et al., 2015; PMID:26401038), on HPV quasivirus (Guan et al., 2017; PMID:29211035), and on HPV virus like particles (Carter et al., 2003; PMID:14557648). Further this antibody was used for a western blot on L1 protein (Christensen et al., 1996; PMID:8806551). The structure of this antibody was determined using cryo-EM (Guan et al., 2015; PMID:26401038, Guan et al., 2017; PMID:29211035).
