This antibody recognizes MMBP (Maltose/maltodextrin-binding periplasmic protein) which is a part of the ABC transporter complex MalEFGK involved in maltose/maltodextrin import. It binds maltose and higher maltodextrins such as maltotriose.

This antibody exhibits strong binding to MMBP (Kd=2.7 nM) (Mukherjee et al., 2015; pmid: 26159704). MBP_E01 is recommended for the detection and structural conformation analysis of MMBP (Mukherjee et al., 2015; pmid: 26159704).
