- Antibody SpecificityThis antibody is specific for the G3 domain of mouse nidogen-1. Nidogen-1 is a sulfated glycoprotein widely distributed in basement membranes and tightly associated with laminin. Also binds to collagen IV and perlecan. It probably has a role in cell-extra
- Application Supplier NoteTo characterize the original mouse version of this antibody ELISA was preformed against recombinant mouse nidogen-1 (Ries et al, 2001; pmid:11589703). Futhermore binding assays on mouse nidogen-1 were also preformed using the mouse version of this antibody (Ries et al, 2001; pmid:11589703). And finally this antibody was tested using surface plasmon resonance with mouse nidogen-1 as antigen (Ries et al, 2001; pmid:11589703). A tube-like formation assay was preformed on HMEC-1 cells. To study the influence of nidogen-1 in the process the mouse version of this antibody was used (Titz et al, 2004; pmid:15241558).
