The binding reactivity of this antibody against fifty six strains of Neisseria meningitidis belonging to seven serogroups: A, B, 29E, L, X, Y, Z, and five serotypes: 1, 4, 5, 12, 13 was assessed using whole cell ELISA. This antibody can also be used in the detection of these serogroups and serotypes using western blot (Guillen et al., 1997).
