The binding characterization of this antibody to potato virus V coat protein was done using ELISA. This antibody does not cross react with potato virus Y and potato virus X strains. This antibody does not bind whole PVV virions in plate-trapped antigen ELISA. This antibody was capable of detecting potato virus V from infected leaf tissues in a western blot (PMID: 10648933).
