This antibody recognizes and binds the amino acid SGFSY in the antigenic site II of rabies glycoprotein (pasteur strain).

A11 binding to rabies virus pasteur strain glycoprotein was demonstrated by western blot analysis and ELISA. A11 reacted only with rabies virus in a concentration-dependent manner and showed no reactivity towards other viruses like hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and chikungunya viruses (PMID: 22007309).
