The binding specificity of this antibody towards ricin was checked using ELISA. The original VHH version of this antibody is reported to bind ricin and ricin B chain with a dissociation constant of 12nM and 10nM respectively. This antibody can be used as a capture molecule in sandwich immunoassays. (PMID:18251258).
