  • Antibody Specificity
This antibody recognizes and binds Staphylococcal enterotoxin B.
  • Application Supplier Note
This antibody can be used for the immundection of SEB in a sample. This antibody was derived from the murine parent antibody called 2F6D9G2, after PCR cloning the variable region genes of the hybridoma to generate a phage display library and isolating the specific clone that showed reactivity towards SEB. The binding reactivity of the scFv clone towards SEB was determined using ELISA. The scFv clone binds SEB with a high affinity of 3.16 nM as determined by surface plasmon resonance (SPR). This scFv antibody was also capable of detecting SEB in a western blot assay (PMID: 20952642).

  • Reactivity Supplier
    Staphylococcus aureus
  • Reactivity Supplier Note
The original antibody was generated by immunizing eight-week-old female BALB/c mice were immunized subcutaneously with SEB at 3-week intervals. Later on a phage display library was generated from the variable regions of the hybridoma and this clone was isolated by panning against SEB.
