The binding capability of this antibody for SFTSV glycoprotein C was confirmed using ELISA and SPR. This antibody was capable of neutralizing live virus in infected Vero cells with an IC50 of 29.45+/-12.80mg/mL. In an in vivo animal protection experiments the INFAR -/- mice which were injected with a dose of 20 mg/kg of SF83 antibody showed a survival rate of 20%. This antibody in combination with another anti-SFTSV Gn antibody SF5 was used for the generation of a bispecific antibody. In vivo experiments with bispecific antibody increased the survival rates of animals to 100% (CN114736291; PMID:28096333).
