    The antibody is binds testosterone and shows some cross reactivity towards 5alpha- dihydrotestosterone and 17beta-estradiol. Testosterone is the primary sex hormone and anabolic steroid in males.
  • Application Supplier Note
    The binding specificity of scFv antibody against various steroid hormones and intermediates was checked using ELISA. Further a luciferase assay using the human version of this antibody showed that the antibody can prevent testosterone activating the androgen receptor in cultured human cells (WO2008009960).
