This antibody is capable of neutralizing the transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and can recognize the TGEV in a immunodot blot assay. The antigenic site of the S glycoprotein of TGEV where the mAb binds was identified by competitve RIA (PMID: 2453977). THis antibody can also recognize TGEV spike protein in an ELISA (PMID: 1711257).
