This antibody is specific for VWF propeptide (VWFpp) and not to the yeast used for the expression of the propeptides.

This antibodys original format (scFv) was used in a sandwich ELISA to determine the VWF propeptide levels in plasma and showed a higher binding affinity for VWFpp in plasma at especially lower plasma concentrations (Meiring et al., 2018; PMID: 29992156).
