Armepavine is an active compound from Nelumbo Nucifera, which not only has anti-inflammatory effect on human peripheral blood monocytes, but also has immunosuppressive effect on T lymphocytes and lupus nephritis mice. Armepavine inhibits TNF-alfa - induced MAPK and NF-kappaB signaling cascade.
