BAL-30072, a siderophore sulfactam, is a monocyclic beta-lactam antibiotic, with activity against multiresistant gram-negative bacilli. BAL30072 shows MIC90 values of 4 microg/mL for MDR Acinetobacter spp. and 8 microg/mL for MDR P. aeruginosa, respectively[1][2].
