Bigelovin, a sesquiterpene lactone isolated from Inula hupehensis, is a selective retinoid X receptor alpha agonist. Bigelovin suppresses tumor growth through inducing apoptosis and autophagy via the inhibition of mTOR pathway regulated by ROS generation[1].
