Br-PBTC is a potent, 2/4 subtype-selective positive allosteric modulator of nAChRs (nicotinic acetylcholine receptors) with alpha2beta2, alpha2beta4, alpha4beta2, alpha4beta4, (alpha4beta2)2alpha4 and (alpha4beta2)2beta2 EC50 ranges from 0.1-0.6 microM. Br-PBTC acts from the c-tail of an alpha subunit[1].
