A murine monoclonal antibody to an epitope on C8 protein. This monoclonal Antibody was raised against purified human C8. It is specific for an Antigen expressed on native C8 as well as on C8 in the MAC. It will not inhibit the lysis of EA and will detect membrane bound MAC. Quidels C8 monoclonal antibody has been used in a variety of experimental techniques including EIA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
