- Scientific DescriptionCluster of Differentiation 19 (CD19) is a surface receptor found on follicular dendritic cells and B-cells. CD19 is found on normal and malignant B-cells, and is known as a reliable marker for B-cells throughout its maturation stages. Anti-CD19 reacts positively with the mantle zone cells, scattered cells, and germinal centers of normal lymph tissues. Although CD20 and CD22 have similar staining patterns to CD19, CD19 is useful because it is also expressed in immature B-cells.
