- Scientific DescriptionHuman CD56 is an adhesion molecule from the Ig superfamily which is restricted to NK cells in the immune system. It is believed that NK cells form a first line of defense against tumor cells and cells infected with bacteria and viruses. - Protein. The extracellular domain of human CD56 (aa 20 - 718) is fused to the N-terminus of the Fc region of mouse IgG2a. Source: HEK 293 cells. Endotoxin content: <5EU/mg protein (LAL test; Lonza).
