Chitin synthase inhibitor 5 (compound 9a) is an inhibitor of chitin synthase with an IC50 value of 0.14 mM. Chitin synthase inhibitor 5 shows broad-spectrum antifungal activity in vitro and shows good inhibition to C. albicans, A. flavus, A. fumigatus and C. neoformans. Chitin synthase inhibitor 5 can be used for the research of fungal[1].
