The CLIC1 protein exhibits specific lysophospholipase activity and plays a critical role in mediating cellular responses to oxidative stress. As a member of the chloride intracellular channel family, CLIC1 is involved in a variety of physiological processes, including cell volume regulation, membrane potential regulation, and regulation of cell cycle progression.
