COX-2-IN-8 (compound 6a) is a potent, selective, and orally active inhibitor of COX-2 with an IC50 of 6.585 uM. COX-2-IN-8 has higher COX-2 selectivity than Celecoxib. COX-2-IN-8 shows good in vivo anti-inflammatory and low ulcerogenic activity[1].
