- Scientific DescriptionCysteamine HCl, the hydrochloride form of Cysteamine, is also a transglutaminase 2 (TGM2) inhibitor, which can be used to induce gastrointestinal disorders in a mouse model as well as a duodenal ulcer model. In addition, Cysteamine HCl has the ability to modulate the activity of dopamine neurons in the striatum of awake, freely moving rats by inhibiting the increased dopamine release from amphetamine, and has antioxidant activity.
