Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) is a polymer of anhydroglucose with a molecular weight of 4500-5500. Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) can be used to induce acute colitis and cause apoptosis of colonic epithelial cells in mice. The recommended molecular weight in the study is 5000 (HY-116282) and the use concentration is 5% (in feed, W/W). The sulfated polysaccharide dextran sulfate is also an effective inhibitor of HIV. Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) can significantly inhibit HIV-1 replication at concentrations that do not significantly inhibit the blood coagulation process. Dextran sulfate sodium salt (MW 4500-5500) protects MT-4 cells from HIV-1-induced cellular pathogenicity. Dextran sulfate-induced colitis can be inhibited by Puerarin (HY-N0145), Baicalein (HY-N0196), beta-Caryophyllene (HY-N1415).
