Dihydro-beta-erythroidine (DHbetaE) hydrobromide is a potent, orally active, and competitive antagonist of neuronal nAChRs. Dihydro-beta-erythroidine hydrobromide shows selectivity for alpha4beta4 and alpha4beta2 nAChRs, with IC50s of 0.19 and 0.37 microM, respectively. Antidepressant-like activities[1][2][3].
