Docosapentaenoic acid (22n-3) is a component of phospholipids. Docosapentaenoic acid 22n-3 has inhibitory activity against alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, with IC50s value of 17 microg/mL and 22 microg/mL, respectively. Docosapentaenoic acid 22n-3 increases cell vitality. Docosapentaenoic acid 22n-3 has a weak anti-inflammatory effect[1][2][3].
