- Scientific DescriptionThe tip consists of two very sharp, nearly horizontally opposed points. By applying gentle downward pressure and twisting slightly in a clockwise fashion, the points will embed themselves horizontally into fine membranes or skin so that it can be lifted upward. This instrument also has been used successfully when separating fine tissue from an underlying area that is not to be cut.
