It may crucially regulate lymphocyte homeostasis. Forming homodimers, it strongly interacts with TNFRSF1 and TRADD via death domains, initiating distinct apoptosis and NF-kappa-B signaling cascades. Interaction with BAG4 contributes to its multifaceted cellular response roles.
