Eldacimibe is an ACAT2 inhibitor. Eldacimibe can lower plasma cholesterol levels by blocking cholesterol absorption and can prevent macrophages from turning into foam cells. Eldacimibe can be used in the study of cardiovascular diseases (atherosclerosis), endocrine and metabolic diseases (hypercholesterolemia) [1].
