The Expression Negative Control Lentivirus are replication incompetent, HIV-based, VSV-G pseudotyped lentiviral particles that are ready to be transduced into almost all types of mammalian cells, including primary and non-dividing cells. The controls package the same virus particles as the target expression virus, but they do not express a specific protein under the CMV promoter. The Expression Negative Control Lentivirus (G418) expresses the gene for aminoglycoside 3 phosphotransferase, which confers resistance to kanamycin, neomycin, and geneticin (G418). The Expression Negative Control Lentivirus (Hygromycin) expresses the gene for hygromycin B phosphotransferase, which confers resistance to Hygromycin. The Expression Negative Control Lentivirus (Puromycin) expresses the gene for puromycin N-acetyl-transferase, which confers resistance to puromycin.
