GQ-16 is a moderate affinity ligand for the ligand-binding domain (LBD) of PPARgamma, exhibiting a Ki of 160 nM. GQ-16 is an effective inhibitor of Cdk5-mediated phosphorylation of PPARgamma. GQ-16 is a partial agonist of PPARgamma with reduced adipogenic actions. GQ-16 promotes insulin Sensitization without weight gain[1].
