The GRO-gama/CXCL3 Protein, acting as a CXCR2 ligand, induces chemotactic activity for neutrophils. It potentially influences inflammation through autocrine effects on endothelial cells. In vitro studies highlight the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73)s fivefold increase in chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes, indicating a potential regulatory mechanism for neutrophil recruitment and function.
