Scientific Description
The recombinant human CD2 consists of 196 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 22.7 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, rhCD2 magrates as an approximately 37 kDa band due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the human CD2 (NP_001758.2) extracellular domain (Met 1-Asp 209) was expressed, fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
