- Scientific DescriptionThe recombinant human EpCAM consists of 253 amino acids after removal of the signal peptide and has a calculated molecular mass of 29 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rh EpCAM is approximately 36 kDa due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the extracellular domain (Met 1-Lys265) of human EpCAM (NP_002345.1) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
