The recombinant human IL5Ra consists of 326 amino acids after removal of the signal peptide and has a predicted molecular mass of 37.3 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rhIL5Ra is approximately 45-50 kDa due to glycosylation. A DNA sequence encoding the human IL5Ra isoform 2 (Q01344-2) (Met 1-Arg 335) was expressed, fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
