- Scientific DescriptionCharacteristics: This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 45.5 kDa. The protein migrates as 48-55 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation. Description: Serpin H1 is also known as SERPINH1, 47 kDa heat shock protein (HSP47), Collagen-binding protein (Colligin), Arsenic-transactivated protein 3 (AsTP3), which belongs to the serpin family. SERPINH1 binds specifically to collagen. SERPINH1 / HSP47 could be involved as a chaperone in the biosynthetic pathway of collagen.
