IGFBP-6 protein is an important IGFBP member that regulates insulin-like growth factor (IGF) by changing its interaction with cell surface receptors, thereby affecting IGF-induced growth responses. In addition to regulating IGF signaling, IGFBP-6 also activates the MAPK pathway and induces cell migration.
