- Scientific DescriptionInterleukin-17A (IL-17A) exhibits multiple biological activities on a variety of cells including the induction of IL-6 and IL-8 production in fibroblsts, the enhancement of surface expression of ICAM-1 in fibroblast, activation of NF-kappaB and costimulation of T cell proliferation. Induces stromal cells to produce proinflammatory and hematopoietic cytokines. - Protein. The extracellular domain of human IL-17A (aa 20-155) is fused to the N-terminus of the Fc region of mutant human IgG1. Source: HEK 293 cells. Endotoxin content: <5EU/mg purified protein (LAL test; Lonza). Lyophilized from 0.2microm-filtered solution in PBS. Purity: >98% (SDS-PAGE).
