IST5-002 is a potent inhibitor of Stat5a/b and selectively inhibits the transcriptional activity of Stat5a/b with IC50 values of 1.5 microM and 3.5 microM for Stat5a and Stat5b, respectively. IST5-002 can be used to study prostate cancer and chronic granulocytic leukaemia (CML).
