Mafenide Acetate is an effective sulfonamide-type antimicrobial agent used for burn wounds. Mafenide Acetate shows activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms , including Pseudomonas aeruginosa , via inhibition of nucleotide synthesis [1] [2] .
