(+/-)-Methotrexate ((+/-)-Amethopterin) is a racemate of Methotrexate (HY-14519). Methotrexate, an antimetabolite and antifolate agent, inhibits the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase, thereby preventing the conversion of Folic acid into Tetrahydrofolate, and inhibiting DNA synthesis[1].
