IL2RB (interleukin-2 receptor subunit beta) is a heterotrimeric protein expressed on the surface of certain immune cells, such as lymphocytes, which binds and responds to a cytokine called IL-2. Thus we have conducted a binding ELISA assay to detect the interaction of recombinant mouse IL2RB with recombinant mouse IL2. Briefly, IL2RB were diluted serially in PBS, with 0.01% BSA (pH 7.4). Duplicate samples of 100 microl were then transferred to IL2-coated microtiter wells and incubated for 2h at 37C. Wells were washed with PBST and incubated for 1h with anti-IL2RB pAb, then aspirated and washed 3 times. After incubation with HRP labelled secondary antibody, wells were aspirated and washed 3 times. With the addition of substrate solution, wells were incubated 15-25 minutes at 37C. Finally, add 50 microl stop solution to the wells and read at 450nm immediately. The binding activity of IL2RB with IL2 was in a dose dependent manner.

  • Protein Name
    Interleukin-2 receptor subunit beta
  • Scientific Description
The interleukin 2 receptor is composed of alpha and beta subunits. The beta subunit encoded by this gene is very homologous to the human beta subunit and also shows structural similarity to other cytokine receptors. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
