NFKBIE/IKB epsilon Protein crucially inhibits NF-kappa-B by forming a cytoplasmic complex, preventing its DNA-binding activity. It targets specific complexes involving p50-p65, p50-c-Rel, and interacts with subunits RELA, REL, NFKB1 (p50), and NFKB2 (p52). NFKBIE/IKB epsilon plays a pivotal role in regulating NF-kappa-B signaling, controlling nuclear translocation and transcriptional activities.
