Ontamalimab (SHP647) human IgG2 anti-MAdCAM-1 monoclonal antibody specifically blocks the binding of alfa4bèta7 integrins to human mucosal addressin adhesion molecule-1 (MAdCAM1) ligand, thereby decreasing the migration of lymphocytes into the intestine. Ontamalimab may be used in studies related to ulcerative colitis (UC).
