PD98059 is a ligand for the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR), and suppresses TCDD binding (IC50 of 4 microM) and AHR transformation (IC50 of 1 microM). PD98059 also inhibits Mycobacterium bovis Bacillus CalmetteGuerin (BCG)-induced autophagy[1][2][3].
