Pneumocandin B0 (L-688786), the precursor of the antifungal agent Caspofungin acetate, is an antifungal agent belonging to the echinocandin family. Pneumocandin B0, derived from the flamentous fungus Glarea lozoyensis , is a synthetic intermediate of Cancidas [1] [2] [3] .
