PTS proteins are critical in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin, an important cofactor for aromatic amino acid hydroxylase. It catalyzes the conversion of 7,8-dihydroneopterin triphosphate to 6-pyruvoyltetrahydropterin, a key step in the biosynthetic pathway. PTS Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived PTS protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.
