  • Scientific Description
Human Serum Albumin: Human serum albumin (HSA) is the most abundant protein (more then60%) in blood plasma playing an essential role in various physiological processes. HSA is responsible a.o. for binding and transporting of fatty acids and hormones. HSA also stabilizes the pH value of blood and the oncotic pressure. HSA is a globular protein with an alpha-helical structure containing multiple binding sites for both hydrophobic and hydrophilic substances.
