Sauchinone is a diastereoisomer lignan obtained from Saururus chinensis. Sauchinone inhibited LPS induced expression of iNOS, TNF-alfa and COX-2 by inhibiting phosphorylation of I-kappaBalfa and nuclear translocation of P65. Sauchinone has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities.
